A New Lottery funded Wellbeing Project for Women Aged Over 50
Dates: 12th July 2021 to 3Oth June 2022.
Future Communities offered a free wellbeing package for up to 60 women from various communities, including BAME and disadvantaged communities, over the course of one year. The package was available to women who were aged 50 plus, suffering from personal issues, social isolation, stress, anxiety, tiredness, negativity and weight gain, due to issues related to COVID-19. This project was based in the Erith/Thamesmead/Bexley area of South East London, and using existing networks we supported women from a range of local communities.
Participants of the programme were supported through events, presentations and workshops, run by trainers, wellbeing coaches and health coaches, via our online platform and local events.
Project delivery included:
- Group and 1-2-1 assessment and support, digital support in small groups or individually using Zoom and online services and resources
- Personalised programmes delivered by experienced facilitators and volunteers providing individual support, which facilitated a foundation for ongoing networking and positive reinforcement
- Participants received personalised development packs
- We also worked with other partners to provide additional/alternative support depending on participants’ personal needs
